Our approach to policy
Successful policies must balance the needs of their audience, the legal framework, and institutional dynamics.
Any step of the way
From defining the problem to evaluating policy efficacy – we can help at any stage of the process.
Policy
Complex challenges require well-thought-out solutions based on sound information, framed by consistent principles, and aimed at delivering concrete proposals for action. However, the human element can be both the catalyst or the obstacle to your strategy.
Whether human actions are the goal of your policy (policies addressing discrimination or encouraging citizen participation) or whether people are responsible for implementing the strategies (private sector workers or public officials), no policy is effective without understanding how people will interpret and respond to it.
Our interdisciplinary team has the knowledge and experience to design and evaluate tailor-made policies that specifically take the human factor into account. We can:
- Identify and measure your problem
- Research existing knowledge in the field and how it applies to your specific context
- Identify possible solutions
- Pre-tests with targeted communities, workers, and partners
- Identify legal and institutional constraints and how to overcome them, as well as funding opportunities
- Support you in implementing and monitoring the chosen solution
Research
Research is crucial in understanding complex societal problems and designing effective solutions. With an academic background, this is second nature to us.
We conduct scientific research to support decision making in public policy. This includes reviewing existing evidence, design and implementation of studies, and advanced data analytics.
Our team brings together expertise in Social Psychology, Law and governance, statistical programming, data collection and analysis, outputting clear and rigorous reports that provide all agents in public policy with the necessary information for an informed course of action.
Data
Every institution faces problems whose solutions require data. This poses challenges we are particularly well equipped to tackle: from collection, cleaning and transforming, to the selection of the most relevant advanced statistical methods for analysis and interpretation.
We work with all types of information – from surveys to administrative records – securing a reliable transition from data to knowledge you can act on.
